We live just one mile from the new temple that is being built in Rexburg, Idaho, and for the past year we have loved watching the progress. I had an interesting experience concerning this temple. On Friday, October 20, 2006, I woke up early in the morning when it was still dark, and there was music going through my mind with words to go with it about the Rexburg Temple. I got up and wrote down the words. It seemed to be three verses and the words rhymed easily. I wrote another verse for children which became the first verse. Later in the day, I went to the piano to try to play the melody, but it was gone! I could not find one note of it! I decided to be sure to pay attention the next morning.

Sure enough when I woke up the next morning, there was the melody in my mind again, clear as anything. This time I went over and over it in my mind until I could remember it and then was able to write the music. This was a very spiritual experience for me, and I know I was given help beyond my own abilities. It will always be a sweet memory to me, and I am thankful for it.

I thank my grandson, Hyrum Denney, who put the melody on his computer music program, and my sister-in-law Cheryl Hansen for writing the left hand accompaniment. I hope my family and friends will enjoy it.
